Cryoglobulin (CRYO)
Pre-warmed tubes to 37°C and sample taken to the laboratory within 10 minutes of venepuncture. Inform laboratory staff immediately on arrival. Sample must be kept at a temperature of 37°C. Non-fasting.
Cryoglobulin collections will ONLY be accepted in the laboratory when collected by a Phlebotomist between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 Mon - Fri.
All Colchester & Ipswich samples: 2 x 7.5ml White Serum & 2 x 3.4ml Red EDTA.
All Colchester & Ipswich samples: Ipswich.
This test requires a seven day incubation period and will be reported 7 to 10 days post collection. Cryoglobulin requests automatically include Complements (C3, C4), Rheumatoid Factor, Protein Electrophoresis and Immunoglobulins.
