Hospital. Mon-Thurs before 12pm.
Sample container
All Colchester & Ipswich samples: 3.4ml Red EDTA.
Site
Samples are sent to several different laboratories depending on the patient care pathway. TAT will be variable depending on which laboratory the sample is sent to.
Notes
Non-fasting. The ideal sampling time is immediately before the next oral dose.
