Our vision is to deliver innovative, high performing pathology that is focused on our patients and delivers quality and fully compliant services.

East Suffolk and North Essex Pathology Service operates across two laboratory sites located in Ipswich and Colchester Hospitals. This is hosted by East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT), which is the largest organisation in the Eastern Region.

Our service is clinically led and designed to realise the benefits of scale that can be achieved by both hospitals working together. We endeavour to meet the needs of our patients, healthcare professionals and to support the excellent clinical care provided by both Ipswich and Colchester Hospitals.
